Tom Alsberg's hacks
Here are some little hacks of me - pieces of code, patches to others'
code, small scripts, etc etc.
- A
patch to
Apache
httpd 2.0.49 to enable
allowing overriding only some options in .htaccess files, adding an
AllowOverrideOpts directive to the directory context in the
configuration.
- mimefilter – A
MIME parsing filter for mail messages and vieweing them in text
pagers.
- conf2d – A script that
converts a “legacy” pam.conf file to the newer pam.d directory structure.
- spefigure – A small
shell script to run a program (usually a configure script) with
some predefined parameter sets - sounds silly, but it is handy,
at least for me…
- tracksort – A small
shell script that takes a tree of sound tracks of various file
types, and creates links to tracks in it from directories sorted
by their file type.
- A patch to
xosview 1.7.3 – corrects interrupt count in non-SMP
interrupt meter in Linux 2.2 and later, and puts binaries in
exec-prefix…
- XExec – a handy
customizable launcher for X11
- An old patch
for Enlightenment
0.16.5 – makes iconbox configuration a bit more
flexible. I sent this patch to the enlightenment-devel mailing
list, I couldn't see if they accepted it, since they didn't
release any new version of Enlightenment 0.16 yet
(Enlightenment 17 will be a almost complete
rewrite). Update:
(2004-05-31) there are some new
versions of Enlightenment 0.16, and they haven't integrated
this patch yet. On the other hand, on the latest snapshot,
this patch doesn't apply properly anymore, so I'll probably
some time update it to the newest Enlightenment. When I have
it fixed up for the latest version I'll send it to them
again.
- update-apt.sh – a
small shell script I wrote
to update the Packages and Sources (and Packages.gz and Sources.gz) files for a given
distribution in a Debian apt source.
