Some things about me

I am a member of the System Group of the Institute of Computer Science and Engineering of the Hebrew University. I like to enjoy cats, computers and computer science, some areas in philosophy, and math (although I don't deal with it too much seriously).

I am right now a prisoner of the Hebrew University High School, also known as Leyada.

I am taking at least the following courses at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem during this semester (Spring of 2003 — calendar year of 2004, in case I forget to update this page):

For previous courses and more information, check out the page about the courses I take.

I am generally interested in freedom and liberty in many ways, often having varying opinions in related subjects, and as my interests are often focused, especially online/electronic freedom/liberty. There went my old page about online/electronic freedom/liberty page which I once started writing. Even though I am interested in it, since then I understood that I just am not involved and talented enough to write well on those subjects (in the little time I spent on it), and that I didn't express/represent my thoughts as well as I thought I would… So for now I stopped touching it. Maybe some-when I will get to it again in a better way.

Some little hacks.

Miscellaneous stuff

My amazon.com wishlist

2002-01-21 — A few bookmarklets I've created.

2001-11-21A break-in lowlight – I believe in being open about security vulnerabilities and incidents, and do not believe in security through obscurity. I wrote that page with regard to a recent break-in to a testing machine I have set up at school

2001-04-25 — I've lately started writing a mini-document about Orckit's ADSL modems (which Bezeq provide for some of their ADSL “WOW” service customers), right now mainly explaining how to change the modem's password, but might be enhanced to include more. If you're using such a modem, please read that document, both since it might be helpful for you, and since you might have helpful comments on it. That document can be found (only in text format right now) here.

Update (2003-02-22): I was slightly amazed to get a message from someone who translated the document to Russian. The translation is available here. I do not understand what's written there (yes, I need to improve my Russian…), and did not really try to figure it out, so I'm not sure how well and accurate the translation is… But it seems to be OK.
